About EZ Numbers
EZ Numbers is over ten years in the making. In various incarnations, it's been used by hundreds of start-ups in all kinds of industries. Over the years, we've incorporated all of the good suggestions we've received and our own ideas on how to make it better and simpler. EZ Numbers represents thousands of hours of dedicated development - time that you no longer have to spend on your business model - so that you can work on your actual business.
Paul is an incurable entrepreneur and the creator of EZ Numbers.
Paul is a Wharton MBA, an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Accounting at Pepperdine University, and a Small Business Grant Reviewer for the National Science Foundation. Paul also has an MA from the School of Arts & Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania, is a Fellow of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute Global MBA program where he is an alumnus of the French international program, and has a BA from the University of Illinois.
He has served as CEO, CFO, and VP of Business Development for high tech, financial, entertainment, and product development companies in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and is known as the "Startup CFO" for his work with numerous start-ups, including a financial arbitrage hedge fund, a digital theme park, waste stream into energy, and others.
Paul has extensive software and online architecture development experience. He produced the first set top box online experience, and conceived and created the first online service for kids, which raised $50 million, and which he introduced with Bill Gates at the launch of Internet Explorer 4.0.
He played a key role at a top visual effects company in Hollywood, helping to secure the rights to their renowned source code, working with Microsoft on the development of Kinect, and helping negotiate the software license deals that powered Avatar 2, 3, and 4; The Hobbit, LA Noire, Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and other movies and games.
Paul is a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship, and has served as a judge and mentor in numerous business plan competitions at Wharton, Thunderbird and other schools. One of his startups won Entrepreneur Magazine's national contest and he had the winning entry out of 70,000 in an ING bank contest.
Paul is the former Board Chair of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association at the University of Pennsylvania, La Reserva Forest Foundation in Costa Rica, and the American Red Cross of Santa Monica.
Paul's interests include the Singularity and post-scarcity economics, life extension, travel, and foreign languages. He learned to read and write Thai so he could order mango and sticky rick off the menu. Paul lives in Calabasas, outside of Los Angeles, where he cavorts with coyotes on early morning mountain hikes.
Brent is a multi-faceted entrepreneur with a focus on software development, search, and social media marketing. He has expertise managing large production teams across multiple continents, and believes heavily in a model of continual improvement. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in I/O Psychology from DePaul University, an MA in Human Factors Applied Psychology from California State University, and a Global MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Early in his career, Brent worked as an analyst for Boston Capital Ventures learning about investment strategies and how to measure the potential for return from the investors perspective. He then launched a series of ventures in the automotive, technology, entertainment, print production, and digital marketing industries. As co-founder and CIO of Pipeline Music, he designed and implemented workflow that brought 250 CD's of never before heard Classical Music from the former Soviet Union to US and Asian markets. Brent served as the IR Director reporting to more than 350 investors.
In 2010, Brent launched Creative Studio B a Graphic and Web Studio designed to a provide an alternative production resource for Marketing and Advertising firms where he serves as Co-founder and President. In 2012, Creative Studio B launched Search Engine Studio, a leading consultancy focused on content marketing and search optimization.
Brent is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
